“Experienced runners learn to respect the changing needs of their bodies. That’s the wisdom that comes with time, and – for good or bad – with age.”  — Fred Lebow, founder of the New York City Marathon

So I wrote yesterday about running with the weight of experience as a negative.  I suppose I needed the reminder that with age and experience also comes wisdom.  So for anyone reading this blog and thinking that aging is all bad, it’s time for you and me to recalculate.  My changing need this morning is to take tonight’s workout  easy enough that I’m fresh and ready for our 11 miles on Saturday.

Maybe the Pretenders are completely right when they sing “Time the Avenger”!  And maybe they aren’t…
